We are a friendly bunch of country folk on the fringes of the Auckland Super City with an interest in beekeeping as a hobby and industry.

We have a strong focus on teaching the art of beekeeping and provide a welcoming environment for anyone interested in Beekeeping and the Bee.

Our monthly meetings start with a cup of tea, a chat and Q&A session. We then discuss ‘what to do now’ in the apiary and other topics of interest before heading out to the apiary for a practical session with the hives (weather permitting).

This is a great opportunity to get some hands-on practical experience, close up and personal with our bees. There are a number of bee suits available for those who need them.

New members and enquiries are always welcome.

- Club Days -

We usually meet at the club hives on the second Sunday of every month from 10am. We start with a chat and a practical demonstration and this is a great opportunity to ask other members for advice. We then open up and inspect the hives and new members in particular are encouraged to have a go.

For the next meeting check out our calendar.

- Bank Account -

The club’s bank account number is 02-0404-0090129-00
Please use your full name as a reference and where possible a description of what the payment is for (eg: Subs, Extraction, Tutin test, etc) in the other fields.

- Membership Fee -

The club membership fee is $40 each year. The year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

- Quarantine Rules -

To reduce the risk of spreading disease, the committee decided (20th October 2014) to restrict the bringing of any used bee keeping equipment (including gloves) to club days – the only exception is bee suits. Where required, gloves and other equipment will be provided by the club. This rule is not just to protect the club hives, but to also protect you from taking diseases home to your own hives.

– Club Newsletter’s –

Past and current newsletter’s with the latest information about the club and beekeeping.
